About

Hi!

I’m Sonya and I am a mom of five, ages 22 to 1, hopeful homesteader, WAHM, homeschooler, and sometimes crazy redhead.

Everyday we face the challenges that come with raising children in this modern world: peer pressure; self-esteem issues; taking care of the never-ending demands of home and family (because let’s be honest... parenting isn't always easy!).

But there's something else too - SO many moms don't make enough effort on their own behalf! You deserve your health AND happiness as much or more than anyone else does, so why not work towards both? I want to help other moms remember self-care isn’t selfish or something only seen on TV - because after all…we're human just like everyone else.

When you have your hands full it can be easy for self-care practices like reading, spending time on your favorite hobby, or just taking a nice, long bath to fall by the wayside -- but what we need most in life isn't selfish; rather it's time spent caring about ourselves as well as those closest around us.

I understand how hard these things can seem because believe me -- I've been there myself many, many times!! I know it is MUCH easier said than done. I have had to learn this lesson countless times myself and have needed countless reminders. Unfortunately, not remembering makes life harder in the long run when you get sick, you’re just burned out and have no energy, etc. So self-care in your daily life can actually add more time, more energy for that never-ending to-do list and your children who need you at your best.
